my wall

people say your workplace is you. it is a mirror of how you operate. if it is clean and neat, that means you are a very systematic person. if it's messy and untidy, that just shows how you are as a person.

that's what people say. i'm not sure how much of it is true. to me, each person has their own way of working. their own way of getting things done. it's all subjective. and so i'm showing you what my workplace looks like.

messy? neat? again, it's subjective. some people may see it as messy, not neat enough. others may think it's neat, not too messy. the way the viewer see it may also reflects how they (the viewer) work. if they see it as messy, they MAY be the ones who love to work systematically in a neat environment. if they see it as tidy and neat, they MAY be the ones who knows their clutter.
i emphasize on the MAY. because it's all subjective.

now let's have a closer look at what i have on my wall.

i have a habit of keeping ribbons from gifts. and i'll put them up on my board wherever it seems suit. most of the things i stuck on my wall are reminders. some of them i keep to remind me of what needs to be done. assignment papers yet to be submitted. lists of chores. i would order books and stuff online and stick the bank receipt up my wall to remind me that i haven't received the ordered stuff yet. some other things up there are just reminders of things i did, like the tickets of a movie i enjoyed. i would print pictures that i like and pin them wherever there's free space. i would hang tags of recent events i joined.

i am actually doing this - explaining in detail what inhabited my wall - out of pure boredom. why don't you tell me what's on your wall? tell me about your wall, please. i really want to know your wall! =]

don't hit that exit button just yet!

No, ladies and gentlemen, you did not click on a random link by accident. You may have expected to see the old brown scrapbook-like blog full of butterflies and whatnot. Well, this is still the same old Idiosyncrasies of a Lady with a brand new look. Yes, I've taken my blog through a makeover session.

Before my final exams started, I promised a very good friend that I would redecorate her blog. She liked the former look of my blog and would like something like that for hers as well. I also promised my little sister that I would create a new blog for her. When the final exams ended, I started working on those mini projects and when I'm done, I seem to have some extra hours with nothing in particular to do besides the usual chores. So, I figured: why not redecorate my own blog as well? I was starting to get weary of the old look of my blog, anyway. So I decided to go with a different look. Even blogs need a little facelift every now and then. Am I right or am I right?

Although the concept of the new look does not differ much from the old one, this look presents more colours. I tried to keep the widgets as simple as possible so as not to make it look too crowded.

This is how the blog looked like before:

and this is how it looks like now:

So, what do you think?

It has been weeks since I last visited my blog. I wasn't able to get online so it was hard for me to update the blog. So as soon as I get the chance, I got online and started typing away. I haven't blogged for over a month and that makes me feel a bit odd to start blogging again. I've also noticed that I've missed a lot on things regarding the lives of my friends. So it's very refreshing to know that I'm able to be updating with them again. But before all that, I'm gonna have to clean up my blog and clear it out of all the cobwebs and dust. So, until it is squeaky clean again, toodles!

citric acid cycle

tajuk tak ada kena mengena langsung dengan apa yang aku nak cerita. itu hanya salah satu benda yang aku dok ulang2 sebut dari tadi. sebab aku kena hafal. esok aku punya final exam BIOCHEMISTRY. adeh...aku memang tak berapa nak gemar hafal menghafal ni.

aku teringat masa kat kampung balik beraya ramai2 dengan sepupu sepapat yang berdozen2. kalau nenek nak panggil salah seorang dari cucu2 kesayangan dia, habis semua nama cucu dia sebut. sebutlah nama seorang2 cucu dia sampai yang ke-17 tu baru betul. nak panggil pian tapi ain eli ika awin semua dia sebut. gila comel nenek aku. tapi apa kena mengena nenek aku dengan citric acid cycle?

sekarang baru aku faham perasaan nenek aku kena hafal banyak2 nama. aku pun dah jadi macam nenek aku dah. banyak sangat nama nak kena ingat sampai terbelit2 neuron aku. baru sekejap tadi urat aku tersimpul. nasib baik tak simpul mati. kira boleh lagi aku leraikan balik. macam mana la kalau nama2 yang aku hafal ni aku bagi kat cucu2 aku nanti. nanti masa aku nak panggil cucu aku habis semua aku sebut. glyceraldehyde, glycerate, glutamate, phosphate, lambda karbaminohemoglobin padahal yang aku nak panggil cucu bongsu aku pyruvate. boleh cramp lidah aku on the way nak sampai kat nama dia.

korang dah nampak kan apa effect menghafal pada aku. tak pasal2 aku merepek kat sini. dah2. aku nak sambung balik study. tinggal esok paper terakhir aku. lepas tu apa lagi. HUHHHAA!!

did this out of boredom

Hey peeps, get this. I found it through the internet.

The song with the longest title is "I'm a Cranky Old Yank in a Clanky Old Tank on the Streets of Yokohama with my Honolulu Mama Doin' Those Beat-o, Beat-o Flat-On-My-Seat-o, Hirohito Blues" written by Hoagy Carmichael in 1943.

Try saying that three times non-stop. I dare you!

*maniacal laugh*

what spontaneity can lead to:

Who knows midnight boredom and sleep refusal can lead to kerang bakar.
Unfortunately, there are no pictures of the kerang bakars.
We were all busy enjoying the kerangs that nobody thought of taking pictures.
(^_^)v

reminiscing again...

Out of boredom, I went through my pictures' folder randomly and found the ones from Jejak Warisan '09 for which we went to Seri Menanti, Negeri Sembilan starting May 1st until the 3rd. The pictures made me smile =]

one word:

-- --- .-. ... . / -.-. --- -.. . / -... . ... -

Today is the birthday of Samuel Morse - creator of the famous Morse Code. I just found out about it a few minutes ago when I was going to search the net for some unimportant-thing-that-you-wouldn't-even-bother-to-know and this came out...

At first I didn't realize it was morse code. I thought there was a problem loading the page. Heheh. But it was soooo cute!

Then I found this website where texts can be translated into morse code and vice versa. You can even hear the beep beeps. It's fun!

Okay. I'm starting to get over-excited about things-you-don't-get-over-excited-about again. I'd better be signing off. Toodles!

Another Tag

I've been tagged again.
This time it's pretty interesting.
It's from my roommate Cik Ramlah.

And the tag goes like this:

1. You have to printscreen your current wallpaper/desktop.
2. Tell us why you like the wallpaper.
3. Tag another 10 bloggers.

So, this is my current wallpaper.

It's Race13 by beaucoupzero.
I don't like to clutter my desktop with files. Less is better.

And this is the reason why I like it.

It's something I would sketch. Plus, it's colourful!

And these are the people whose wallpaper I would like to see.

my life in 7 words [cont.]

(This post is a continuum of my previous post titled my life in 7 words)

As promised, these are the 7 words that describe life:

"Seven? Not even enough for the intro."

my life in 7 words

The idea to publish this post originally came from my sister, Aa, who is insanely interested in weird, funny, brain-twisting, neuron-straining stuff. The topic came up while we were hanging out one day in Brunei.

I said : Define your life in SEVEN words.

She answered : "My life is 'a balancing game of decisions and results'. There, 7 words."

I asked my other sister, Wawa, for her definition of life in just SEVEN words and her answer was short, simple and straightforward :

"crazy.imperfect.tough.wonderful.bitter.anxiety.emotional"

Those were their answers. What is yours?

How would you sum up your life in exactly 7 words?

You can answer by leaving comments for this post. Feel free to be as expressive, creative and honest as you can be.

My 7 words?

I'll post the 7 words of my life in exactly 7 days from the day this post is published. Until then, enjoy defining your life in 7 words.

COLOURful
